What’s on offer…
Choose to have a ceremony indoors within the Georgian period mansion for up to 50 guests. The drawing room is licensed, offering an authentic period backdrop full of treasures. You can decorate the room with your own family memories or simply leave the styling as it is. Dual aspect views across the south facing facade gives a light and bright atmosphere.
A ceremony can be held within any part of the grounds or marquee for up to 120 guests. The marriage celebration is a unique way to include a larger number of guests to witness your marriage.
Wherever you choose inside or out you will need to perform part of the ceremony within the licensed drawing room for the solemnization of marriage, find out more about duo ceremonies here.
Please note: Ceremony seating is not supplied as it’s down to individual choice, style and taste.
You have access to the grounds once the marquee is set up (assuming a Saturday wedding) the marquee will go up from Thursday. You have this time to create your wedding your way between 9am & 5pm. The marquee is likely to be taken down by the Monday but please note during peak season it can be more likely the marquee is removed the following day after your wedding. The site must be cleared of all personal decoration and all rubbish removed by 5pm the day after your wedding.
Thurning Hall is unable to accept receptions in house for numbers over 50. The sumptuous walled rose gardens offer the most amazing backdrop and atmosphere for a beautiful marquee reception. You can choose a traditional pole marquee, stretch tents or tipi’s the only limit is your imagination. As Thurning Hall is a ‘dry hire venue’ catering, marquees, entertainment and bar hire is your choice. This is a great opportunity to keep total control of your wedding or event.
We offer a wide choice of preferred suppliers who we know perform great job and will go the extra mile to make you happy. Of course you are not limited to those. We’re always happy to meet with suppliers of your choosing.
