If you dream of getting married outside in Norfolk, the sun shining (if you’re lucky), flowers blooming and smiles on your faces, then you’re going to need a duo ceremony. It’s not currently legal to get married outside in the UK, so you have to have a separate legal ceremony as well as a celebration in your chosen place. This ceremony allows couples to say their vows pretty much anywhere they want.

Couples often choose to have the legal ceremony in our registered drawing room, where the legal formalities can be carried out. Then you can go out for your marriage celebration ceremony to our walled garden, or the main lawn, or the woodland, or wherever you choose.

You don’t even have to have the legal element of your wedding at Thurning Hall, though it’s so easy to do. If you would rather have the legal ceremony at your local town hall or other licensed venue, that’s fine too, you can then have your main wedding ceremony with us in our beautiful English country gardens.

You might be surprised at how special it is to have an intimate legal wedding ceremony in the Hall with as many or as few witnesses as you wish in the room, and then you get to have the whole she-bang outdoors with all your friends and family. The best of both worlds!
